By Dan Hill

Sacramento Animal Control is seeking information after officers discovered a cat hanged by a noose from a tree in the Meadowview neighborhood Wednesday morning.

The officers responded to a 311 call of a dead cat hanging by a rope in the area of Gardendale Road and 29th Street.

"The cat was a stray that was previously being cared for by someone who recently moved from the area," a news release states.
