QUESTION: Is there any update on the triple homicide that happened in Rancho Cordova a couple of months back? Last I heard, Denis Bukhantsov's brother was in custody. What has happened since he was arrested?

ANSWER: Grigoriy Bukhantsov, 20, remains in Sacramento County Jail awaiting trial for the October slaying of his sister-in-law and two of her children.
He is being held without bail and his next court date is set for Feb. 22, according to Sacramento Superior Court online records.
Bukhantsov is charged with three counts of murder in the deaths of 23-year-old Alina Bukhantsov, 3-year-old Emmanuela and 2-year-old Avenir.
Grigoriy Bukhantsov's brother, Denis, discovered the bodies of his wife and children in their De Soto Way duplex the afternoon of Oct. 23. The couple's youngest child, 6-month-old Mark, also was in the home but was not injured.
Grigoriy Bukhantsov had spent the previous night at his brother's home.
According to Sacramento family court records, Bukhantsov's parents once sought a restraining order against Grigoriy, citing several occasions of violent abuse, but Denis Bukhantsov said he never thought his brother was a threat to his family.
