Dad suspected of shoplifting booze in baby stroller in Rancho Cordova

A father is suspected of hiding shoplifted booze and DVDs in his toddler's stroller, according to Rancho Cordova police.

Danny Williams, the father of the child, and his friend Deaire Jeffries, are suspected of stealing the items from the CVS Pharmacy in the 3300 block of Zinfandel Drive Tuesday afternoon.

Employees told police that the two men pushed a baby stroller around the store with Williams' child along for the ride before paying for one item. They were later caught outside the store with merchandise hidden in the stroller.

Williams' child was taken into protective custody. Williams, 26, and Jeffries, 31, were booked into jail on suspicion of burglary and child endangerment.
