Sacramento County Sheriff officers arrested two people in Dixon after a high-speed chase that began in Rancho Cordova this morning.
Officers responded to a victim who reported being struck with a gun near Folsom Boulevard and Bradshaw Road around 5:00 a.m. when suspects fled in a vehicle driving westbound on Highway 50, Sgt. Jason Ramos said.
Sheriff's deputies pursued, and the chase reached speeds as high as 100 mph as it followed Interstate 80 through three Sacramento, Yolo and Solano counties. CHP provided air support and as many as 10 sheriff's officers joined the chase, Ramos said.
Officers arrested two suspects in the fleeing vehicle 20 minutes after the chase began.
Jasmine Livingston, 22, is charged with felony evasion in connection to driving the vehicle.
Salathiel Maynard, 22, of Vallejo, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon on suspicion of the alleged pistol whipping, Ramos said.
Both suspects are being held at county jail on $50,000 bail.
