Crash into power pole in Linda begins man's legal troubles

Allegedly abandoning his crashed pickup got one young man in Linda more than a DUI.

The California Highway Patrol reported that an officer was dispatched about 3 a.m. this morning to Alicia Avenue in the Yuba County community of Linda where a Ford 150 truck had hit a power pole, knocking out electricity in the area.

The driver was nowhere to be seen. Officers eventually located the suspected driver, Aldo Ivan Marcial, 21, in an apartment not far from the crash.

He was booked into Yuba County jail on suspicion of hit and run, driving under the influence, driving without a license and delaying or obstructing an investigation.
