Rocklin police arrested four Stockton men on suspicion of stealing catalytic converters Sunday evening.
A victim leaving a movie at Century Theaters in Rocklin called 911 after seeing people run out from under his car in the theater parking lot as he started his car remotely.
The suspects fled in a vehicle that police pulled over on Highway 65. Officers found "burglary tools" and "about a dozen catalytic converters" in the car, according to a police news release.
The four men arrested - Benjamin Rodriguez, 32 (pictured below); Lee Marvin Nelson, 21 (pictured above, right); Brandon Leroy Brockl, 21 (pictured right), and Rhota Vin, 23 (not pictured) - are all of Stockton and are booked on four charges including grand theft. Police also charged one man with resisting arrest, the release said.
"The suspects had apparently made their rounds through Rocklin, including stealing at least two converters from vehicles parked in a church parking lot on Granite Drive," the news release said.
Rocklin police said four people have reported their auto converters stolen, but the department release said police believe there more are unknowing victims of converter theft.
