The Placer County Sheriff's Office today announced the arrest of four people in connection with recent robberies and thefts In Incline Village and Kings Beach.
Placer County deputies, along with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and the California Highway Patrol have been investigating several related crimes, officials said.
On Dec. 29, an attempted armed robbery was reported at the Kings Beach Liquor Store, and on Jan. 2, an armed robbery occurred at the Incline Village Chevron station, according to a Sheriff's Office news release. Shortly after the Chevron robbery, a vehicle was stolen in Incline Village, and on Jan. 5, that vehicle was involved in an accident in Tahoe Vista.
Thursday, a 17-year-old was arrested in Tahoe City in connection with the vehicle theft. Shortly afterward, search warrants were served in both California and Nevada, leading to the arrest of Jorge Miranda Rivas (left photo), whose age was not given, and another 17-year-old boy from Incline Village.
Today, two more search warrants were served in Kings Beach, and Jorge Torres (right photo), 18, of Kings Beach was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft. Authorities said Torres is also a suspect in the Incline Village robbery.
