Two burglary suspects were arrested early Wednesday evening after authorities say they were caught red handed in a foreclosed Loomis home.
Daniel Loredo, 37, and Rose Herzog, 53, both of Sacramento, were arrested as they attempted to make off with plumbing fittings from the home.
The incident began with a tip about a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a vacant Old Moss Road residence, which previously had been vandalized.
Deputies arrived shortly after 7:15 p.m. to find a vehicle parked outside the home and light from flashlights coming from inside, according to a news release from the Placer County Sheriff's Department.
The two were corralled at the back door as they attempted to leave, authorities said. It was later conformed that items in Loredo's possession came from the home. Deputies also discovered a glass meth pipe on Loredo and meth secreted on Herzog's clothing, authorities said.
Loredo was booked in Placer County Jail and charged with burglary, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $80,000.
Herzog was charged with burglary, conspiracy, possession, driving under the influence. Her bail was set at $70,000.
