A Citrus Heights bank was the target of an attempted robbery Saturday morning, according to police.

A man attempted to rob a teller at the Wells Fargo Bank, 8477 Auburn Blvd., about 11:10 a.m. The suspect passed a note to the teller. No weapon was seen.

The suspect, described as a white male in his 30s with a shaved head, left the bank without getting any money, after other employees became aware of the attempted robbery, police said. He fled and was last seen running southbound on Auburn Boulevard.

The case is being jointly investigated by Citrus Heights Police Department and the FBI. Anyone with information about this attempted robbery are asked to contact the police at (916) 727-5500, or Sacramento Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357.)
