Sacramento police arrest man who allegedly tried to fight officers

Sacramento police arrested a 28-year-old man Friday night after he allegedly tried to punch officers.

BRINSKY, JUSTIN-28.jpgPolice responded to the 1600 block of Arden Way after reports of a man causing a disturbance. When they tried to talk to the man, later identified as Justin Brinsky, he took a swing at an officer but missed, said police spokesman Officer Doug Morse.

He then swung at another officer who had his arms up to protect himself, and the officer was struck in the arm but not injured, Morse said.

Officers eventually were able to take Brinsky into custody with the help of an officer from an outside agency, Morse said. Brinsky was booked on suspicion of battery on a peace officer and violating the terms of his probation.
