Teen suspect flees CHP, crashes into Antelope house

A 16-year-old male is in custody after leading CHP on a short chase through Antelope and into the garage of a single-story house.

Officers originally responded to a report of a stolen car near Elgin Hills Way around 7:30 this morning. An hour later, the 19-year-old stolen car suspect identified the juvenile driving a black truck as an accomplice, Officer Lizz Dutton said.

The truck attempted to flee CHP officers but crashed into a house near Cook Riolo Road and Great Valley Drive. The juvenile suspect ran a few blocks after the crash before officers arrested him, Dutton said.

The 16-year-old was taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Center and was arrested on suspicion of crimes including felony hit and run and driving without a license, Dutton said.
