Woman found shot to death at car accident scene

A 20-year-old woman was found shot to death at the scene of a car accident early this morning, authorities said.

Sacramento Police responded to an accident at 65th and S Streets around 3 a.m. and found the woman in one of the vehicles involved in the accident. The victim had gunshot wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead on the scene, according to reports. Three other individuals who were involved in the collision were detained by police for questioning. No one was hurt in the accident.

Sacramento County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Jason Ramos said the woman was likely shot at a different location and that she was being transported to the hospital. Authorities are investigating a possible connection to an earlier report of shots being fired on Watt Avenue in the Arden-Arcade area.
