Arson in garage at Woodland home under investigation

Woodland police and fire officials are investigating as arson a fire that damaged a garage at a home this morning.

Officers were dispatched about 7 a.m. to a residence in the 1400 block of Crystal Springs Drive for a report of arson. It was determined that sometime Sunday evening or early this morning an incendiary device was placed in the garage, according to a Police Department news release.

The device completely burned a car in the garage and caused moderate damage to the garage itself, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding the case is asked to call the Woodland police Department at (530) 661-7800.
