QUESTION: What happened to the guy that was arrested for the killing of the leader of the white supremacist group?
Submitted by: Janice, Sacramento
ANSWER:No one has been charged in the March 2011 shooting death of white supremacist David Austin Lynch at his Citrus Heights home.
Lynch's pregnant girlfriend was shot in the leg during the attack.
Charles Gilbert Demar III, described as a close friend of Lynch, was arrested on drug charges following Lynch's death.
According to stories in The Bee, Demar was named by Citrus Heights police as a "person of interest" in the slaying and he was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop. Police did not identify him as a suspect in the Lynch homicide.
Demar, 38, remains in Sacramento County Jail. He is charged with possessing a controlled substance for sale, sale and transportation of a controlled substance, and manufacturing methamphetamine. According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, his trial is scheduled for April 16.
Demar previously served prison terms for burglary and receiving stolen property charges out of Stanislaus County, and assault charges out of Sacramento County.
