ANSWER: Issiah Willie Jackson was convicted of murder in the 2007 death of January Keene, a 30-year-old mother and aspiring model.

According to stories in The Bee, Jackson was pulled over after running a red light at 30th and L streets in Sacramento about 1 a.m. Jan. 5, 2007. He told police he was rushing Keene to the hospital. He said a drug dealer had shot her while they were driving around town trying to buy dope.

The prosecutor, however, said Jackson had been planning to kill Keene because she had dumped him.

Jackson, who had a previous record of robbery and violence, was sentenced to 110 years to life in prison. Now 36 years old, he is at Salinas Valley State Prison in Soledad.
