Three robbers went on a crime spree last night, holding up a trio of businesses and roughing up employees in the process.
The robbers escaped even though Sacramento police flooded the area with officers around Northgate Boulevard following the second stick-up.
The first robbery occurred about 8:30 p.m. at a restaurant in the 3800 block of Willow Street in Del Paso Heights. Two employees of the restaurant were physically assaulted by the armed suspects.
The second robbery occurred at 9:20 p.m. not far away in the 2600 block of Northgate Boulevard in the Gardenland neighborhood, this time at a liquor store. Again, the armed robbers assaulted employees before taking cash and fleeing on foot.
The third robbery, at a restaurant, was reported less than ten minutes later in the 3200 block of Northgate Boulevard. The "aggressive" robbers took cash before fleeing on foot.
Officers already in the area responded immediately but the robbers were able to get away. Crime scene investigators responded to assist in the investigation.
The robbers were described as Hispanic men in their twenties, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 140 to 150 pounds, according to police.
