Help sought locating Elk Grove man suffering from dementia

Kenneth Mitchell pr-02-06-13-photo-1.jpgElk Grove police are asking for the community's help in locating a 79-year-old man who suffers from dementia and takes medication to control high blood pressure.

Kenneth Mitchell (pictured) was last seen about 8:45 this morning when his wife left their Elk Grove residence to go to work. When she returned at 3:15 p.m., her husband was missing, along with their vehicle, a white, two-door, 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII, with license plate number 3VCH239, according to a Police Department news release.

Mitchell is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a lump on his left cheek.

Police said Mitchell left his residence under similar circumstances last week and was located in Willits.

Anyone with information regarding Mitchell's whereabouts is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Dispatch Center at (916) 691-5246.
