Missing Elk Grove man found driving on Highway 65

Kenneth Mitchell pr-02-06-13-photo-1.jpgA 79-year-old man who was reported missing from his Elk Grove home Wednesday has been found and reunited with his family.

Kenneth Mitchell (pictured), who suffers from dementia, was located by the California Highway Patrol this evening driving his vehicle on Highway 65, Elk Grove police reported.

Mitchell had last been seen about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, when his wife left their home to go to work. When she returned about 3:15 that afternoon, her husband was missing, along with their vehicle.

Police said Mitchell left his residence under similar circumstances last week and was located in Willets.
