Bedria Williams, a 15-year-old who went missing out of Oregon last month, was found late Friday night.
Bedria left her school shortly after noon Jan. 11. Her father, Pat Williams, believed she boarded a commuter bus to Eugene, Ore., before making her way to Sacramento.
"She's safe and with her family," said Shelli LaMadrid, who organized a search for the teenager on Friday in Sacramento.
The search party received a tip that she was at an apartment in Sacramento County and at that point, requested police assistance, Sacramento Police spokesman Officer Doug Morse said.
Bedria was found at the apartment and released to her father around 2 a.m. this morning. "She was safe and there was nothing criminal," Morse said.
Pat Williams said his daughter is in "good health" and that the "whole family was just relieved."
"This is a new chapter," he said by phone from Oregon. "We're ready to move forward."
