Mom arrested after youngsters found wandering in the street

Police found two young children wandering unsupervised in a south Sacramento street on Saturday afternoon, and arrested their mother on charges of methamphetamine possession and felony child endangerment.

Officers responded to the 4100 block of 34th Street about 3:45 p.m. Saturday, where they discovered two children, aged 3 and 4 years, walking in the street without adult supervision.

Officers located the mother, Crystal Weed, 28, and arrested her. The children were placed into protective custody.
