Two women were arrested this morning, accused of several burglaries in Rocklin.
Jill Joyce Hanoum, 34, of North Highlands and Danielle Marie Zunino, 28, of Sacramento were taken into custody when police stopped their vehicle as it was leaving the area of an early morning theft.
The Rocklin Police Department's communications center received a call at 4 a.m. reporting that a resident of the Sunset Summit apartment complex at 2151 Sunset Blvd. had interrupted a theft of property from a vehicle. The person provided a description of the suspects and their vehicle, which was relayed to responding officers, according to a Police Department news release.
When officers arrived, they discovered that numerous vehicles in the complex had been burglarized.
Other officers located and stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle as it was leaving the area and contacted the two occupants, later identified as Hanoum and Zunino.
Police said a search of the vehicle yielded stolen property from several burglaries in the Sunset Summit apartment complex and burglaries that had occurred in other areas of the city.
Hanoum and Zunino were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and seven counts of burglary. Bail for each woman was set at $70,000.
