The Sacramento Police Department reports that seven siblings reported missing from their Fresno home and believed to have been abducted by their father have been found unharmed in the Sacramento area.
No further information was immediately available. Sacramento police said the Fresno Police Department is expected to release an update on the case.
The children, ages 5 to 12, were taken from their Fresno home when their mother and stepfather left them alone to go to a grocery store Saturday evening. The mother and stepfather told police that when they returned from the store, the children, along with their clothes in the home, were gone.
Fresno police were trying to contact the children's biological father, Xa Yang, who has been estranged from his family for three years. Investigators believed he lived in Sacramento.
