A Sacramento man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Sacramento for trading child pornography.
Erik David McKinney, 27, formerly of Chico, is charged with two counts of receiving and sharing child pornography, according to a federal Department of Justice news release.
According to court documents, between June 10 and July 29, 2010, McKinney, while living in Chico, received and shared images of child pornography through the Internet. The indictment alleges that after McKinney moved to Sacramento, he continued receiving and sharing images of child pornography until Nov. 14, 2012.
The case resulted from an investigation by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
