Sacramento police arrest roommate on suspicion of homicide

Sixto Rosas.JPGA fight between friends ended violently with a deadly stabbing in southeastern Sacramento on Sunday.

Sacramento police said that at about 11 p.m. Sunday they were called to the 7700 block of 32nd Avenue near Fruitridge and Power Inn roads where a 30-year-old man had been stabbed.

The man, who has not yet been identified, later died at a hospital.

Officers learned that there had been a fight between roommates. During the fight, the victim was stabbed by his roommate with a kitchen knife.

Officers detained the roommate, who remained at the residence after the fight. The roommate, Sixto Rosas, 36, was arrested on suspicion of homicide after being questioned by homicide detectives.
