Sacramento police release photos of north-area robbers

Sacramento police have released security video images (above) of robbers who held up three businesses this week and assaulted employees during the crimes.

The first robbery by the three suspects occurred about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at a restaurant in the 3800 block of Willow Street in Del Paso Heights. Two employees of the restaurant were attacked by the armed suspects.

The second robbery occurred at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, at a nearby liquor store in the 2600 block of Northgate Boulevard in the Gardenland neighborhood. The armed robbers again assaulted employees before taking cash and running away.

The third robbery, at a restaurant, was reported less than 10 minutes later in the 3200 block of Northgate Boulevard. The "aggressive" robbers took cash before fleeing on foot.

Despite immediate response by officers in the area, robbers escaped. Crime scene investigators responded to assist in the investigation.

The robbers were described as Hispanic men, between 5-feet, 5-inches and 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighing from 140 to 190 pounds, police say.
