Sacramento police say suspected taggers caught with paint on hands

taggers.jpgThree suspected taggers were arrested this morning for vandalizing property downtown.

Timothy Navarro, 21, Jeffrey Pelletier, 21, and Calvin Cortez, 19, were booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism.

Citizens called Sacramento police around 12:30 a.m. about graffiti in the area around Ninth and P streets. Cortez, Navarro and Pelletier were found in the vicinity with spray cans and fresh paint on their hands, police said.

Officers believe that three men are responsible for spray painting graffiti on buildings, trash cans and sidewalks along six blocks.
