A standoff in the North Natomas area ended after two men who had been holed up inside a condominium surrendered to law enforcement officers.
Sacramento County sheriff's detectives tracked a wanted parolee to the unit in the 2100 block of Club Drive about 3:30 p.m. He was described as a man in his 30s. When he refused detectives' orders to come out of the residence, they called for assistance from the Sacramento Police Department's SWAT and hostage negotiations teams.
Sacramento police spokeswoman Officer Michele Gigante said a woman who came out of the unit about 3:45 p.m. verified that the man detectives were looking for was inside, along with another man. Gigante said it was believed the men were armed.
At no time was there a hostage situation, she said.
The two men came out of the residence and surrendered about 6:15 p.m., and both were taken into custody. Gigante said two guns were found inside the residence.
The man in the residence with the suspect sought by detectives was identifed as Daniel Wilson (pictured), 28. He was arrested and later booked on a parole violation, according to police.
The name of the primary suspect has not been released.
Residents of several nearby units were evacuated as a safety precaution during the standoff.
