Placer County sheriff's deputies are looking for the owners of property found during the arrest of three burglary suspects in Loomis early this morning.
About 4 p.m. Thursday, homeowners in the 7500 block of Barton Road called 911 when they saw individuals attempting to steal property in front of the home. When deputies arrived, the suspects were gone, but based on the description of the individuals and their vehicle, deputies believed they knew the suspects.
Photo lineups were conducted and the victim's recognized the suspects, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.
Deputies went to two Loomis addresses this morning and arrested Trevor E. Lewis (top left photo), 20, Richard E. Burns (top right photo), 34, and Mark Allen Cox (bottom photo), 19. Deputies also found a large amount of stolen property, including power tools and lawn equipment. The items were most likely stolen in the rural Lincoln and Sheridan areas, sheriff's officials said.
Anyone who thinks their property might be among the stolen items is asked to call Sgt. Brian Whigam at (530) 889-7856.
Lewis, Burns and Cox were booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of multiple offenses, including burglary, receiving stolen property and conspiracy. Burns has been released. Cox's bail is set at $50,000 and Lewis' bail at $125,000.
