Tip from public credited in arrest of armed robbery suspect

hargo dwayne deshawn.jpgPlacer County sheriff's detectives credit a tip from the public for the arrest of a man wanted in connection with armed robberies of two businesses, in Loomis and Penryn.

Dwayne Deshawn Hargo (pictured), 30, of Penryn, was booked into Placer County Jail today on suspicion of two counts of armed robbery. His bail is set at $100,000.

Hargo is accused of robbing Star Liquor in Loomis on Jan. 16 and the Penryn Valero on Jan. 18, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

A surveillance photo from one of the robberies that the Sheriff's Office released last week was instrumental in Hargo's arrest, officials said.
