The Yolo County sheriff's department has released the names of both drivers who died from injuries suffered in a fiery crash on Interstate 5 in Yolo County Saturday night.
The California Highway Patrol in Woodland was informed of a vehicle blocking a lane of northbound I-5, just south of County Road 8, about 11 p.m. Saturday. Officers enroute were told that a Honda Accord had collided with an Oldsmobile.
The crash caused the Honda to roll on top of the Oldsmobile and then both cars were engulfed in flames. The drivers of both vehicles died.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The sheriff's department said the driver of the Oldsmobile was Jorge Mora Arias, 40, of Woodland. The driver of the Honda was identified as Cheryl Ann Fortress, 34, of Paradise, Butte County.
