Sacramento coroner IDs woman killed by SUV while attending vigil

Kathryn OFarrell.jpgThe woman who died Monday evening after she was struck by a vehicle while attending a vigil at the site of a fatal Sunday morning crash was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office.

Kathryn O'Farrell, 79, died after being struck by an SUV driving westbound as she crossed the 100 block of El Camino Avenue, police said.

O'Farrell was bringing flowers to a vigil for a man who died in a two-vehicle accident on the same block of El Camino Avenue Sunday morning, police said.

Voter registration records indicate O'Farrell lived on the block where the fatal accidents happened.
