ATV rider dies after hitting wall in McClellan Park

A 23-year-old Sacramento man died after the all-terrain vehicle he was riding on a street in McClellan Park early Sunday struck a block wall.

The crash occurred at 1:25 a.m. as the man was riding a Bombardier ATV four-wheeler north on Arnold Drive just north of Howard Street. For unknown reasons, the ATV traveled off the roadway and struck a cinder block wall, according to a California Highway Patrol news release.

The rider suffered fatal injuries. His name has not been released pending notification of family.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
