Auburn police seek help to identify store robbery suspect

Auburn robbery door+1.jpgAuburn police have released images from surveillance video showing the suspect sought in the armed robbery of a convenience store early Saturday.

A clerk at the store in the area of Auburn Ravine Road and Mikkelsen Drive called police about 5:30 a.m. and reported that a man armed with a black pistol had walked into the store and demanded cash. After the robbery, the suspect left on foot, heading west on Auburn Ravine Road.

Police said the suspect (pictured) was described as a white man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a medium build. He reportedly was wearing a blue and gray knit poncho, black athletic pants, black and red gloves, and a dark-colored face mask.

Police seek the public's help in identifying the man. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Auburn Police Department's Investigations Division at (530) 823-4237, ext. 207.
