The Sacramento County Coroner's office has released the name of the man shot to death at a Natomas party early Sunday morning.
He has been identified as Roland Duncan Bell, 25, of Fairfield.
Bell was killed and two others wounded during gunfire at an apartment.
Police received reports of a shooting and a large fight in the apartment in the 2200 block of River Plaza Drive about 1:05 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found Bell with gunshot wounds. Sacramento Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
A second shooting victim, a man in his 30's, was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries, reports said. A woman, the third shooting victim, was treated and released at a hospital.
Police said it appears there was a large party in the apartment. Many people were seen fleeing the area either on foot or in vehicles after the shootings.
Homicide detectives said there is no known motive at this time for the deadly shooting, and no arrests have been made.
Because there were many witnesses at the party, authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact Sacramento police at (916) 264-5471. Callers can remain anonymous and earn a reward of up to $1,000.
