Doggie door burglar chased away in east Sacramento

A skinny burglar attempting to enter an east Sacramento garage through a doggie door was stopped in the act.

The burglar was attempting to enter the garage of the home in the 3900 block of H Street about noon on Sunday through the doggie door when he was spotted by one of the residents, according to police.

Police said the resident chased the burglar but he got away. The burglar was described as a thin, black man in his 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing dark clothing, including a black, hooded sweathshirt.
