Lodi man arrested for stabbing his mother

Lodi police arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his mother twice on Saturday.

Chad Elliott, 24, was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide. His mother was listed in stable condition.

Police said they were called at about 1:30 p.m. to 325 West Locust St. where they were told a person had been stabbed. Police said they found that Elliott had stabbed his 50-year-old mother two times with a knife. The woman was transferred to a Sacramento area hospital.

Police surrounded the home and order Elliott of the residence. He complied with police orders and was taken into custody.
