Man attacked near Howe Avenue and Highway 50

Police are looking for attackers who assaulted a man outside his home early this morning in Sacramento near Howe Avenue and Highway 50.

The man in his 20s was near his home in the 100 block of College Town Drive after getting off work when he was set upon by men who struck him with a blunt object. He was treated at a hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The initial indication is that the man did not know his attackers, but that could change as the investigation progresses, according to a police spokesman. He was not robbed.
