One held in gunshot slaying of woman in Foothill Farms

A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a woman at a Foothill Farms apartment complex Friday afternoon, said Sacramento County sheriff's deputies.

Shoreem Bryant, 29, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to murder, as well as for a parole violation at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies responded to reports of shots being fired at the Cambridge Park Apartments at 5800 Hamilton Street at about 1:30 p.m. Friday. They found 30-year-old Deandra Horton dead from multiple gunshot wounds, according to sheriff's officials.

A 31-year-old man also was shot and was taken to a hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries.

Sheriff's deputies said there could be additional suspects. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at (916) 874-5115.
