A lane of westbound Interstate 80 is blocked this morning while emergency crews clean up pool supplies spilled when a pickup truck overturned this morning.
The crash occurred about 4 a.m. when the driver lost control of his truck on I-80 just west of Antelope Road. The driver veered to the left and struck the center divider, causing the vehicle to overturn and then land back on its wheels, according to California Highway Patrol officer Rich Wetzel.
The driver was not badly injured. His truck was carrying pools supplies, consisting of dry chlorine and muriatic acid.
Fire department personnel worked through the morning to remove the contents. Traffic was slow on westbound I-80 at 7 a.m.
There was no estimate when the fast lane on westbound I-80 at the site of the spill would be re-opened.
