Man, 57, accused of attacking bicycle cop in Midtown fight

A Sacramento police officer on bicycle patrol sustained minor injuries during a K Street altercation about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Police reports said bike officers were called to a fight between neighbors in the 1700 block of K Street, and when they arrived, one man yelled at the officers, approached them and pushed one of the officers.

The man was allegedly attempting to gouge out the officer's eyes, police reports said. Chi Yip, 57, was then subdued and handcuffed. He was booked on suspicion of assault and assault on a police officer.
