Sacramento men arrested in Rocklin vehicle burglaries

Rocklin police have arrested two men in connection with car burglaries in the city.

About 5 a.m. Sunday, a resident of the 2900 block of Cameron Drive saw an individual break into his neighbor's vehicle, then drive off in a dark-colored van, according to a Police Department news release.

The witness immediately called police. Responding officers spotted a van matching the description given by the witness and stopped it. Inside the van, they found property later identified as belonging to Cameron Drive resident and two other Rocklin victims.

The occupants of the van, Luis Alejandro Sanchez Padilla, 24, and David Garcia, 19, both of Sacramento, were arrested. Both were booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy. Bail was set at $10,000.
