South Lake Tahoe police seek to identify the suspect in a robbery that occurred this afternoon at the El Dorado Savings Bank at 3443 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Officers responded to the robbery report about 2:06 p.m. They were told that a man entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the man left on foot.
No weapon was seen during the robbery, according to a Police Department news release.
The suspect (pictured) was described as a white man in his mid-20s, with a slight to average build, scruffy facial hair and a black patch of hair on his left cheek similar to a mole. He was reportedly wearing blue pants and a black jacket with leather sleeves, similar to a letterman's jacket. He was also wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and snow goggles, and was carrying a reusable Safeway shopping bag.
Video showed the suspect walking down Bal Bijou Road just before the robbery, and police said he was last seen leaving the area behind the CVS Pharmacy on foot.
Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the South Lake Tahoe Police Department at (530) 542-6100.
