Woodland police seeking information on crash that injured child

Police are asking for help in an investigation into a crash that injured a Woodland driver and a 5-year-old passenger.

Woodland Police said that about 3:30 p.m. Monday, a vehicle swerved off the Gibson Road between West Street and College Avenue. The vehicle struck a tree in front of a home, causing non life-threatening injuries to the 50-year-old driver and the child.

Both the driver and the child were taken by ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Woodland Police Department Traffic Division. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call traffic investigators at (530) 661-7800.
