Davis police seek information on hurt man found unconscious

Davis police are trying to determine the circumstances that resulted in injuries to a Sacramento man who was found unconscious in the 200 block of G Street early this morning.

Police and medical personnel responded to the location about 2:10 a.m. and found the 26-year-old man lying unconscious. Although a large crowd of people was gathered around the man, no one came forward with information on how he sustained his injuries, according to a Police Department news release.

Police said there was some evidence that the man was the victim of an assault, but that has not been confirmed. He was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information about the injured man, is asked to call the Davis Police Department at (530) 747-5400.
