Man suspected of stabbing brother is booked into Sacramento jail

John Agcaoili.jpgA fight between two brothers in south Sacramento left one hospitalized with stab wounds and the other in a jail cell Saturday night, according to Sacramento police.

Officers got a call about a stabbing in the 5600 block of Jacinto Avenue about 9:05 p.m., police reports said. The victim was being transported to the hospital by a family member, but dispatchers advised the caller to pull the vehicle over. While paramedics tended to the victim's wounds, police discovered the man had been stabbed by his brother, according to officers.

Police officers then went to the location of the brother, who had also had slight injuries from the fight, police reports said.

The brother, John Agcaoili, 24, (see photo at left) was treated and released for minor wounds and then booked into jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Agcaoili's brother was taken to a local hospital with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Police declined to identify him by his full name.
