UPDATE: Teenager reported injured in shooting at Elk Grove park

Elk Grove police are investigating a shooting in which an 18-year-old man that injured.

Police spokesman officer Christopher Trim said officers responded about 4:45 p.m. to reports of shots fired at Kunsting Park. When they arrived, they were told that some type of shooting had occurred on the west side of the park, but officers were unable to find a victim.

They then learned that a victim had been transported by a private vehicle to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Trim said the suspect has been described only as a white adult male. No information was available regarding a motive for the shooting.
