New+York+Yankees+Jacket+copy.jpgThe Sacramento Police Department has released descriptions of three suspects in the fatal assault last month on 28-year-old Josiah Humphreys in the midtown area.

Officers responded about 12:48 a.m. March 17 to the area of 18th and P streets regarding a report of an individual who was bleeding. They arrived to find Humphreys, who had been seriously injured in a fight. Humphreys was transported to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the suspects. All are described as light-skinned, black, Asian or Latino men, 25 to 30 years old. One reportedly weighed 180 to 195 pounds and was wearing a dark-colored New York Yankees jacket similar to the one pictured. The second man reportedly had a thin build, short dark spiky hair, and was wearing a white T-shirt. The third suspect also may have been wearing a white T-shirt, according to a Police Department news release.

Police said investigators continue to review surveillance video obtained from the area in an attempt to identify the the suspects involved. Detectives also believe there are witnesses to the incident who have not yet come forward.

Humphreys' family, friends and the community are offering a reward, and people providing tips may be eligible for up to $15,000.
