Police seek identity of North Natomas bank robbery suspect

sacpdrobberysuspect.jpgThe Sacramento Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred last week.

About 1 p.m. April 5, police and FBI agents responded to the 3200 block of Arena Boulevard regarding a robbery at Tri Counties Bank, inside the Bel Air Market, in the North Natomas area. The suspect approached the teller and handed her a note demanding money, according to a Police Department news release. The man received the money and left the store.

Police said the same suspect (pictured) was captured on video surveillance in the area of the Golden One Credit Union just before the robbery. He reportedly left after waiting in line for a short time.

The suspect is described as an African American man in his 20s, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with short black hair, a thin black mustache and a beard.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or robbery is asked to call the Police Department's dispatch center at (916) 264-5471, or Crime Alert at (916) 443-4357, or text a tip to 274637. Enter SACTIP, followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
