Man playing possom suspected of loud break-in at Sacramento restaurant

basquez.JPGA Sacramento restaurant employee ran from the business early this morning when a burglar's noisy entrance scared her.

It was around midnight last night when the employee heard loud banging as if somebody was trying to break into the closed International Bistro, 2377 Northgate Boulevard. When the banging reached a certain loudness, she fled out the front door and waited for the arrival of officers.

When police got to the scene, they surrounded the building. Upon entering the restaurant, officers found Julio Anthony Basquez, 26, (pictured) hiding away.

Officers said he was pretending to be asleep. Police believe Basquez broke into the restaurant through the shared wall of a vacant adjacent business.

Police noticed that several items from the restaurant had been moved to a back door prior to their arrival. Basquez was booked on suspicion of burglary and outstanding warrants.
