Yuba City man sentenced to prison for drug trafficking

The second of two Yuba City brothers has been sentenced in federal court in Sacramento to 17.5 years in prison for methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking.

According to testimony presented at his six-day trial in March, Anthony Boykin, 36, and his brother, Patrick Boykin arranged and sold methamphetamine to several police informants in Yuba City between Sept. 13, 2006 and March 39, 2007, according to a federal Department of Justice news release. Anthony Boykin was sentnced by U.S. District Judge William B. Shubb.

Patrick Boykin pleaded guilty and was sentenced in October 2009, also to 17.5 years in prison.

The case resulted from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Yuba-Sutter County NET-5 Drug Task Force.
